homemade labneh
Labneh, the middle eastern cheese, is the simplest to make. You need only three ingredients for this and when it comes to toppings, the possibilities are endless. I topped this with kale buds from our garden, gently fried in EVO, but semi dried seasonal tomatoes or the spice mix za’atar are some other delicious options. Served with bread and a green salad or scooping the cheese spread with a slice of pita bread is my fav way to enjoy it!
Ingredients
250 ml greek yoghurt 2%
1/4 tsp salt
0,5 tsp lemon juice
Directions
Stir yoghurt with salt and lemon juice. Transfer the mixture into a cheesecloth lined strainer, cover it and leave in the fridge for 24 hours and it’s ready to serve. Next day, when you remove the cloth, please make sure to notice the texture of the cheesespread - it’s gorgeous! I’ve made a tutorial for you on IG, click here to watch it.
